COVID-19: Nigeria records 210 new cases, total now 204,201
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 210 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 204,201.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 282 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 2 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,673.
The 210 new cases are reported from 12 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 79 new infections followed by Edo-20, Anambra-19, Rivers-18.
Other states with new cases include Ondo-15, Gombe-14, Oyo-13, Kaduna-11, Ekiti-8, Delta-6, FCT-5, Bayelsa-1 and Kano-1.
Till date, 204,201 cases have been confirmed, 192,421 cases have been discharged and 2,673 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
