COVID-19: Nigeria records 255 new cases, total now 204,456
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 255 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 204,456.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Sunday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 199 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 4 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,677.
The 255 new cases are reported from 5 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Imo topped the day’s infections chart with 124 new cases followed by Lagos-72 and FCT-36.
Other states with new cases include Rivers-16, Enugu-6, and Kano-1.
Till date, 204,456 cases have been confirmed, 192,620 cases have been discharged and 2,677 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
