COVID-19: Nigeria records 3 new cases, total now 254,640

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 3 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 254,640.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 11 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.  

The 3 new cases were reported from 2 states of the federation.

Katsina topped the day’s infections chart with 2 new cases followed by Kaduna -1.

Till date, 254,640 have been confirmed 249,171 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
