COVID-19: Nigeria records 310 new cases, as total hits 68,937
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 310 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 68,937.
The NCDC made this known via its official website on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 183 coronavirus patients who were successfully treated in some of the isolation centres were discharged after receiving their second negative result while 1 new death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 1,180
The 310 new cases are reported from 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
FCT tops the day’s infection chart with 128 new cases followed by Lagos -86, Kaduna -26, and Katsina -20.
Other states with new cases include Rivers -19, Oyo 7, Benue -5, Edo -5, Jigawa -5, Ogun -5, Bayelsa -2 and Kano -2
Till date, 68,937 cases have been confirmed, 64,650 cases have been discharged and 1,180 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
