COVID-19: Nigeria records 35 new cases, total now 165,979
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 35 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,979.
The NCDC disclosed this via its official twitter handle on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 6 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation.
The 35 new cases are reported from 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 9 new infections followed by Kano-8, Yobe-7, Rivers-4, Akwa Ibom-3, FCT-2 and Katsina-1.
Till date, 165, 979 cases have been confirmed, 156,468 cases have been discharged and 2,067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
