COVID-19: Nigeria records 62 new cases, as total hits 61,992

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday confirmed 62 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 61,992.

Data from the health agency shows that 180 patients were discharged on Sunday while 1 fatality was recorded pushing the nation’s death toll to 1,130.

The 62 new cases are reported from 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Taraba top’s the day chart with 18 new infections followed by Ogun with 15 new cases.

Other states with new cases include FCT -6, Kaduna -6, Katsina -4, Ondo -4, Ekiti -3, Rivers -3, Kano -1, Osun -1 and Sokoto -1

Till date, 61,992 cases have been confirmed, 57,465 cases have been discharged and 1130 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
