COVID-19: Nigeria records 65 new cases, total now 212,511

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 65 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 212,511.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Friday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 137 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.

The 209 new cases are reported from 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Kaduna topped the day’s infections chart with 20 new cases followed by Gombe-10.

Other states with new cases include FCT-9, Rivers-9, Bauchi-6, Lagos-3, Delta-2, Edo-2, Kano-2 and Oyo-2.

Till date, 212,511 cases have been confirmed 204,184 cases have been discharged and 2,902 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
