COVID-19: Nigeria records 86 new cases, total now 212,713

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 86 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 212,713.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Sunday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 130 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,906.

The 86 new cases are reported from 6 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Kaduna topped the day’s infections chart with 41 new cases followed by Lagos -24.

Other states with new cases include Osun-10, Bauchi-6, Ekiti-2, Ondo-2 and Edo-1.

Till date, 212,713 cases have been confirmed 204,379 cases have been discharged and 2,906 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
