COVID-19: Oyo records 141 new cases, highest daily figure

Oyo State on Monday recorded its largest single-day jump of COVID-19 cases, with 141 new infections.

This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday during its daily update on the disease in the country.

The latest figure raised the number of confirmed cases in the state to 1867 from 1726.

The 141 new cases were reported from 19 local government areas of the state.

Ibadan SE 29, Orelope 16, Ibarapa Central11, Lagelu 11, Ibadan North 11, Oluyole 10, Egbeda 10, Oyo East 8, Ibadan South West 7, Ogbomosho 7, Ibadan North West 5, Akinyele 3, Ogbomosho North 3, Atiba 3, Ido 2, Afijio 2, Saki West 1, Ona ara 1 and Surulere 1

The number of COVID-19 patients successfully managed and discharged in the state was 1008.

The state has also recorded 19 COVID-19 related deaths.
