Federal College of Education gets Registrar

In a new development in the administrative affairs of the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, the  Governing Council  has approved the appointment of Dr. Gabriel Adedayo Adebayo, as the new registrar of the institution.

According to the statement confirming the development, Dr. Adebayo is to take over from the outgoing registrar (Mr. R.A Akinola) whom during his tenure the college held its first registry day

He joined the services of the College as an Admin Officer II in 1992 and rose through the ranks to the post of Assistant Deputy Registrar

Adebayo, is a member of many professional bodies which includes Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Professional Administrator, Chartered Institute of Public diplomacy and management.  

He has at some point acted as part time lecturer at the institution Centre for Sandwich and Pre-NCE Program(CESAPREP) and most recently at the LASU sandwich study Centre of the institution.

The new registrar had a Ph.D in Sociology, Master’s degree in Sociology and another one in Industrial and Labour Relations from university of Ibadan.

Until his appointment as the 6thregistrar of the College, he was an Assistant Deputy Registrar of the institution.
