Ogun Speaker declares bid for re-election

In a strategic engagement with key party stakeholders, Ogun State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, met with members of the APC Odeda Local Government Executive Committee (excos), under the leadership of Hon. Musulumi Saka, where he formally declared his intention to re-contest as consultations intensify ahead of the party primaries.

The meeting forms part of a broader consultation process, during which Elemide has also engaged with Apex leaders, Councillors, appointees, and ward executives across Odeda Local Government, all aimed at strengthening party unity and fostering inclusive participation.

The engagement further underscores ongoing efforts to deepen grassroots connections and consolidate on the progress and growth already recorded across Odeda State Constituency.

Addressing the Exco members, Rt. Hon. Elemide expressed sincere appreciation for their unwavering loyalty, dedication, and consistent commitment to the growth and stability of the party at the grassroots level. He acknowledged their collective role in sustaining the strength and structure of the party across Odeda.

“The progress we have recorded in Odeda today is a product of our unity, dedication, and shared commitment to service. Together, we have laid a solid foundation, and together, we can achieve even more,” he stated.

Reflecting on his stewardship, the Speaker highlighted the strides made in strengthening representation, empowering communities, and ensuring that governance remains responsive to the needs of the people.

He noted that his decision to re-contest is driven by the need to consolidate on these achievements, sustain the growth trajectory, and expand development opportunities across all communities within the constituency.

 “There is still more to be done. Our journey is not yet complete. I am committed to building on what we have started—delivering more impact, strengthening our people, and advancing the development of Odeda to greater heights,” he added.

Rt. Hon. Elemide further reassured the excos that the party will continue to remain a top priority, emphasizing unity, inclusiveness, and collective responsibility as key pillars for success in the coming political process.

In their response, the exco members appreciated Rt. Hon.
