COVID-19: Nigeria records 132 new cases, total now 56,388

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday said that 132 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, bringing total number of infections in the country to 56,388.

The health agency disclosed this via its twitter handle.

Data from the health agency shows that 185 patients were successfully treated and discharged while 1 death was recorded on Monday pushing the nation’s death toll to 1,083.

The 132 new cases are reported from 11 states.

Lagos the epic centre of the virus in Nigeria had 52 new infections followed by Gombe -27 and Plateau -17 new cases.

Other states with new cases were Kwara -10, Enugu -9, Ogun -9, Katsina -3, Ekiti -2, Bauchi -1, Osun -1 and Rivers -1

Till date, 56,388 cases have been confirmed, 44,337 cases have been discharged and 1,083 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
