Lagos restates ban on street trading, hawking

The Lagos State Government (LASG) has restated the prohibition of street trading and hawking within the state.

The state urged traders to refrain from showcasing their goods for sale on walkways, lay-bys, setbacks, road medians, verges, and curbs.

This reminder was issued via a post on the official Lagos State Government's X account on Sunday.

The post said, “Lagos traders should desist from displaying their wares for sale on walkways, lay-bys, setbacks, road medians, verges, and curbs because street trading and hawking remain banned in Lagos State.”
